20-7-2023 (SYDNEY) Australian authorities are investigating a cylindrical object that washed up on the Green Head beach in Western Australia. The object is reported to be hazardous, and police have cordoned off the area to keep local residents away. The mysterious object, which aviation experts speculate could be a fuel tank of a space rocket or a foreign space launch vehicle, has sparked multiple theories about its origin and nature.
The Australian space agency is in contact with neighboring countries to determine whether the object is part of a recently launched rocket. The authorities have not ruled out the possibility that it belongs to the military or the Australian space agency.
The cylindrical object is described as being 2.5 meters wide and between 2.5 and 3 meters long. While some have speculated that it could be a part of the missing MH370, which disappeared off the west Australian coast in March 2014, aviation expert Geoffrey Thomas has ruled out this possibility.
“It’s not any part of a Boeing 777, and the fact is MH370 was lost nine-and-a-half years ago, so it would show a great deal more wear and tear on the debris,” Thomas said.
