22-7-2023 (YANGON) Myanmar’s Ministry of Commerce has reported that the country earned an impressive sum of over 2.6 billion U.S. dollars from the exports of manufactured goods during the period of April 1 to July 14 of the fiscal year 2023-2024. This data underscores the significant contribution of the manufacturing sector to Myanmar’s foreign trade.
Myanmar’s trade portfolio includes a diverse range of exports, such as agricultural, animal, and marine products, minerals, forest products, and manufactured goods. These products find their way to various foreign trade partners, with China, Thailand, Bangladesh, and India being among the prominent destinations.
The total export earnings for the country during this fiscal year, as of July 14, reached an impressive figure of 4.45 billion U.S. dollars. This highlights the resilience and growth potential of Myanmar’s economy amidst various challenges.
