The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 10:15 pm at the junction of Serangoon Avenue 2 and Manderley Road, transforming the bustling intersection into a tangle of twisted metal and shattered glass.
Eyewitness accounts and online videos painted a vivid picture of the aftermath, with a yellow car lying on its side, all four wheels pointing skyward in a jarring display of the collision’s force. A short distance away, a black Mercedes bore the brunt of the impact, its front end crumpled and its right headlight and a portion of the hood dented beyond recognition. Two motorcycles lay strewn across the road, their riders thrown violently from their saddles.
The scene was one of chaos and urgency, with civil defense personnel and police officers descending on the location to rescue the injured and restore order to the chaos. Bystanders watched in shock as emergency responders worked tirelessly to extricate those trapped and stabilize the wounded.
In response to inquiries, the Singapore Police Force confirmed that the accident involved three cars and two motorcycles, with four individuals requiring hospitalization. A 45-year-old male driver, a 76-year-old female driver, and two male motorcyclists aged 29 and 40 were all rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in a conscious state, according to police reports.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) corroborated the details, stating that their paramedics swiftly transported the four individuals to the hospital upon arrival at the scene.
