27-10-2023 (BANGKOK) Excitement filled the air at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Thursday as hundreds of enthusiastic fans gathered to bid farewell to the newly crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2023, Anntonia Porsild. She embarked on her journey to compete in the highly anticipated Miss Universe 2023 pageant, set to take place in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 18.
Anntonia, a 26-year-old representative from Nakhon Ratchasima, earned the prestigious title of Miss Universe Thailand 2023 in August and will proudly represent Thailand in the 72nd edition of the renowned Miss Universe pageant. Among the crowd of fans was Anna Sueangam-iam, the reigning Miss Universe Thailand 2022, who ceremoniously passed on Thailand’s flag to her successor. Anntonia looked resplendent in a stunning yellow and gold costume crafted from Pak Thong Chai silk, a signature fabric of Korat.
The Thai beauty queen is scheduled to report to the Miss Universe organization committee on November 3, where she will begin her preparations for the upcoming pageant. The preliminary round, in which Anntonia will showcase her talent and grace, is slated for November 15. Finally, the grand finale will take place on the evening of November 18, with Thailand eagerly awaiting the results in the early morning hours of November 19.
Anntonia possesses a captivating blend of Thai and Danish heritage and holds an undergraduate degree in marketing and public relations from Stamford International University. She first gained recognition by participating in the inaugural season of the popular TV show “The Face Thailand,” where she made it to the top 15 and joined Ploy Chermarn’s team. In 2019, she further showcased her talents by competing in the Miss Supranational Thailand 2019 beauty pageant, capturing the crown and becoming Thailand’s representative in the international round of Miss Supranational 2019. Remarkably, she emerged victorious, becoming the first Thai contestant to claim the prestigious title.
