5-8-2023 (GENEVA) Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh and her husband, Jean Todt, continue to celebrate their marital bliss by hosting more wedding receptions for their family and friends. This time, it was the Malaysian star’s distinctive wedding attire that captured the attention of netizens and fashion enthusiasts alike.
The Oscar-winning actress took to Instagram on Wednesday and Thursday, sharing several photos from an intimate wedding reception held in Geneva. At the event, Yeoh donned an exquisite ivory corsetted bridal gown, complete with a charming mini train. However, what truly stole the spotlight was the surrealist corset, featuring a meticulously crafted face with expressive eyes, a pair of lips, and a nose adorned with a septum piercing.
The unique and artistic wedding outfit was the creation of the renowned French fashion house, Schiaparelli. Yeoh expressed her gratitude to Tod’s, the parent company of Schiaparelli, and its CEO, Diego Della Valle, along with the label’s creative director, Daniel Roseberry, for designing this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
In her Instagram post, the 60-year-old actress wrote, “Thank you, my darling big brother Diego, and Daniel for my stunning Schiaparelli Face of Happiness dress to say hello as Mr. and Mrs. Todt.”
Yeoh’s fans and followers couldn’t contain their admiration for her bold fashion choice, flooding the Instagram comment section with praises. Many admired the striking bodice of the dress and applauded the talented team at Schiaparelli for their exceptional craftsmanship.
“The dress is fantastic!” wrote one fan, while another added, “You are stunning, dear Michelle! Bravo to the talented @schiaparelli team…” The comments section overflowed with well-wishes and compliments, acknowledging Yeoh’s grace and the uniqueness of her wedding dress.
The wedding ceremony on July 27 marked the culmination of Yeoh and Todt’s 19-year engagement. The couple first crossed paths in Shanghai, China, on June 4, 2004, and after dating for a brief period of one-and-a-half months, Todt proposed to Yeoh on July 26, 2004.
Yeoh had previously mentioned that she and Todt had planned to marry last year, but the process was delayed due to bureaucratic requirements. As Todt is a Swiss resident, the paperwork to formalize the union in Switzerland proved to be time-consuming.
