In the footage, a woman can be seen chatting with a man while purchasing a drink at the gym. Suddenly, the man, identified as Anthony by local media reports, grabs the woman aggressively and throws her onto the ground with considerable force. The impact of the throw causes the woman to slide across the floor, with her head appearing to hit a door frame.
According to Thai news outlet Thaiger, Anthony, believed to be a Chinese national living in Thailand, was reportedly training the 22-year-old Chinese student for free in hopes that she would consider a romantic relationship with him. However, when she did not reciprocate his feelings after the training session, he allegedly flew into a rage, resulting in the violent attack captured on camera.
The victim, who spoke to local media, revealed that she suffered injuries to her elbow and head from the incident. She shared that she had gone to the police on the same day to file a report, but the officers allegedly dismissed the assault as too minor to warrant an official complaint. Instead, they suggested that she settle the case for 20,000 baht (approximately $740), as reported by Thaiger.
