26-10-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) A disturbing incident has come to light in a residential complex in Penang, where surveillance footage captured a man committing an indecent act after pilfering a woman’s undergarment from outside her flat.
The peculiar episode, which occurred at approximately 6:45 am on Sunday morning in a Tanjung Tokong apartment block, has sparked concern among local residents and drawn widespread condemnation on social media platforms.
According to security camera footage shared on the PenangToday Community Facebook page, the young man, wearing spectacles, was seen furtively approaching the victim’s unit. In a calculated move, he reached through the metal grille of the flat to snatch a brassiere that had been hung out to dry.
After securing the garment, the perpetrator, who appeared to be in his twenties, conducted a hasty surveillance of the corridor to ensure no witnesses were present. What followed was a deeply inappropriate display, as the man proceeded to engage in unseemly behaviour whilst holding the stolen item.
Local residents have expressed their revulsion at the incident, with many calling for immediate police intervention. “This sort of behaviour is absolutely unacceptable in our community. We need swift action from law enforcement to ensure the safety of all residents,” remarked one concerned neighbour who wished to remain anonymous.
