7-6-2023 (SINGAPORE) A 63-year-old man was apprehended on Monday following accusations of molesting a young girl in the Choa Chu Kang neighborhood.
Authorities were alerted to the incident of outrage of modesty at Block 803 Keat Hong Close at 12:49 p.m., as reported by the police.
According to Stomp, a citizen journalism site, the incident involved a 10-year-old girl and a man identified as a cleaner at a coffee shop in the same block.
The girl’s mother, who requested to be referred to as Joan, disclosed that her two daughters had visited the coffee shop that morning for breakfast. Allegedly, the man invited one of the girls to his residence.
Joan stated that when her daughter declined the invitation, the man reportedly touched her chest. In response, the girl promptly rushed to inform her mother, who is employed in the vicinity.
The police have taken swift action in making the arrest, and further investigations into the matter are underway
