25-5-2023 (Kuala Lumpur) The recent electronic auction for the “FF” series of license plates in Malaysia has caused a stir on social media, with netizens now speculating about the owner of the coveted “FF2” license plate. The winning bid for the license plate was RM638,000, and a photo of a black Perodua Bezza car with the license plate has been circulating online, sparking discussion on whether the car is really worth more than the license plate itself.
Many netizens have taken to Twitter and Facebook to share the photo, with some suggesting that it may have been digitally altered. Others have pointed out that the license plate on the car in the photo is actually “KFF 2”, and claim to have seen the car in person at the Aman Central shopping mall in Alor Setar, Kedah.

Some netizens have also noted the suspicious positioning of the license plate on the car, stating that it is not centered above the Perodua logo, as it should be. According to Perodua’s official website, the highest-spec 2023 Bezza model is priced at around RM50,000, while the lowest-spec model is around RM34,000. In any case, the price of the Bezza car does not come anywhere close to the RM638,000 price tag of the “FF2” license plate.
Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook previously announced that the electronic auction for the “FF” series of license plates had netted the government the highest revenue in history, with the “FF2” license plate fetching the highest bid at RM638,000. The license plate is highly sought after among car enthusiasts and is seen as a symbol of social status and luxury.
