16-6-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) The Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Saifuddin Abdullah, announced that the Ministry will host the 2023 Malaysia Digital Expo (MDX2023) in November. The event aims to attract more investments in the digital economy, providing local businesses with greater opportunities to showcase their products and services to both domestic and international visitors.
In a Facebook post, the Minister highlighted the recent success of the Malaysian delegation’s visit to London Tech Week, where they secured commitments of MYR 8.3 billion in investments. Building on this momentum, the Ministry is now focused on organizing the digital expo to further attract investments. This initiative is expected to drive growth in the digital economy sector.
The Minister stated that the MDX2023 will span a week and feature a range of activities, including conferences, exhibitions, promotional events, and award ceremonies. Renowned international speakers and notable figures from the technology and digital economy sectors will participate in the event, adding to its significance and impact.
“The digital expo will serve as a collaborative platform and business channel for domestic and international visitors and industry players, immersing them in the latest digital trends, advancements, and initiatives shaping Malaysia’s digital economy,” the Minister explained.
The MDX2023 is anticipated to foster networking opportunities, encourage knowledge sharing, and facilitate business partnerships. It will provide a platform for showcasing innovative solutions, products, and services that contribute to Malaysia’s digital transformation journey.
