31-10-2023 (CALIFORNIA) A married mother of three, known as ‘Jane Doe,’ has initiated legal proceedings against Ritz-Carlton following an unsettling incident during her stay at the Half Moon Bay resort, just a stone’s throw away from San Francisco. The shocking claim alleges that a male staff member at the luxury establishment served her a bottle of water tainted with semen, leaving the couple reeling with horror and trauma.
This disconcerting episode unfolded during a four-night getaway in November 2022, which Jane Doe and her husband had thoughtfully planned as a birthday weekend. The lawsuit discloses that their dreams of a restful and indulgent escape were swiftly shattered when they realized that a male employee had ejaculated into a water bottle adorned with the Ritz-Carlton label, which was subsequently delivered to their room. Unbeknownst to Jane Doe, she ingested the contaminated water, only to later uncover the heinous tampering by a “criminal deviant.”
The couple, who have been married for a quarter of a century and are parents to three children, have been frequent visitors to Marriott-branded hotels over the years, estimating over 600 nights spent in their welcoming embrace. Yet, this particular stay left them emotionally distraught.
As the lawsuit recounts, Jane Doe initially addressed the unsettling issue with hotel security and management representatives. Her realisation came in a most distressing manner as she began to identify the chemical taste she experienced with the unspeakable substance. Overwhelmed with mortification, fear, embarrassment, and humiliation, she confided in her husband, who promptly summoned the police to investigate the matter.
Without delay, the couple departed from the hotel, and over time, Jane Doe’s conviction that she had consumed semen only intensified. The hotel, purportedly in an effort to address the matter, dispatched the water bottle for analysis to a laboratory. The results left no room for doubt, confirming the presence of semen. However, both the hotel and its parent company, Marriott International, have thus far refused to relinquish the tainted water bottle, consequently obstructing further examination and obstructing the identification of the culpable employee.
In response to these disconcerting events, the lawsuit seeks reparation for sexual battery and negligence and has been formally filed in the Oakland U.S. District Court in Northern California. The couple maintains that the hotel has evaded responsibility for the incident and offered a meager sum of Marriott rewards points as compensation.
Despite these serious allegations, Ritz-Carlton has chosen to remain silent, declining to provide any comment regarding the lawsuit. In the wake of the incident, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office conducted a welfare check at the hotel following a report from a woman who claimed to have consumed water with a taste resembling chlorine. The concerned woman declined medical attention and the involvement of a poison control center, shedding light on the ripple effect of this disturbing ordeal.
