25-4-2024 (SINGAPORE) Mandopop sensation Jay Chou is set to make a comeback to the Lion City for a performance at the National Stadium as part of his Carnival World Tour. The announcement came via a Facebook post from his label JVR Music on Wednesday (Apr 24), disclosing that Chou’s performances are scheduled from Oct 11 to 13.
Chou’s last appearance at the Singapore National Stadium was in December 2022 during the tour’s second leg. However, some attendees of those shows expressed dissatisfaction, claiming they felt “cheated”. Criticism arose due to Chou’s guests reportedly having more stage time than the singer himself, along with complaints about malfunctioning complimentary light sticks.
Ticket prices for the previous shows ranged from S$218 to S$388 per ticket. Apart from Singapore, the Taiwanese icon will also grace stages in Fuzhou, Changsha, Shenzhen, and Nanjing in China, as well as Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, during this leg of the tour. Details regarding ticket sales for Chou’s October performances in Singapore have yet to be disclosed.
