11-4-2024 (SINGAPORE) K-pop enthusiasts in Singapore were treated to an unexpected delight as the renowned girl group Itzy unveiled a surprise collaboration featuring a familiar face.
On Tuesday (Apr 9), Itzy took to Instagram to share a video showcasing their rendition of the song “Untouchable” with a special guest appearance by singer-songwriter Benjamin Kheng.
In the caption accompanying the post, Itzy expressed their excitement about meeting Benjamin in Singapore and teased the creation of “Untouchable Harmony.”
The Instagram reel captured Itzy’s members – Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna – utilizing various objects to produce sounds, reminiscent of Benjamin Kheng’s signature style. Benjamin, formerly part of the Singapore band The Sam Willows, is renowned for his inventive covers, often employing everyday household items to craft unique beats for songs.
Long-time followers of Itzy may recall Benjamin’s previous appearance on the K-pop group’s Instagram page. Just days before the collaboration announcement, Itzy had shared Benjamin’s cover of their song “Untouchable,” sparking speculation about the upcoming collaboration.
