9-6-2023 (BANGKOK) A tragic incident unfolded on Friday morning as an Irish man fell to his death from a condominium building located in Bangkok’s Bang Khae district.
The incident was brought to the attention of the authorities when tenants alerted a security guard at the condominium on Phutthamonthon Sai 2 Road about a loud thumping sound resembling the impact of a heavy object. Acting swiftly, the guard rushed to the scene and made a grim discovery—a man’s lower body was found in the car park on the building’s second floor, as confirmed by the police at Lak Song station. The incident was reported to the police at 7:35 am.
Further investigation revealed that the upper part of the man’s body was discovered on a balcony of a room situated on the third floor.
According to the ongoing police investigation, the deceased individual was identified as an Irish national who worked as a foreign language teacher at a school in Bangkok. He had been residing alone in a rented condominium unit on the 23rd floor. The cause of his fatal fall remains unknown at this time, and additional information about the man is currently unavailable.
In their efforts to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the incident, the police are meticulously examining closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage for any potential clues.
