10-12-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) A devastating incident unfolded yesterday morning in Kuala Betis, resulting in the untimely death of a 32-year-old Indonesian man named Dean. While he was taking a break, tragedy struck as a tree fell and struck him, causing immediate fatality. The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 AM, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
According to reports from Metro Daily, Superintendent Sik Choon Foo, the police chief of Gua Musang, provided initial details surrounding the incident. It was discovered that Dean had sought respite on an excavator when the unfortunate event took place. Tragically, he was pinned to death by the falling log.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that while the deceased was resting inside the excavator, a log suddenly plummeted onto the vehicle, resulting in his tragic demise,” Superintendent Sik Choon Foo stated.
Authorities have determined that there is no criminal element involved in this incident, classifying it as an unfortunate accident. The body of the deceased has been transferred to Gua Musang Hospital for further examination through an autopsy.
Superintendent Sik Choon Foo emphasized that the police are actively conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. Currently, the case is classified as a sudden death case (SDR), and investigators are diligently working to gather all pertinent information.
