15-6-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) A hotel employee in Kuala Lumpur was arrested for raping a female guest after attempting to coerce her into having sexual relations with him. The incident occurred when the 30-year-old Bangladeshi suspect, pretending to conduct a room check, committed the heinous act against the 22-year-old Indonesian victim.
According to The Metropolitan Daily, the incident is believed to have taken place on Monday, at approximately 1:30 p.m. After the crime, the suspect did not leave the hotel and was apprehended by the police within a few hours.
Sources revealed that the suspect entered the victim’s room under the pretense of conducting a room check. Unaware of any suspicious motives, the victim intended to proceed with her check-out procedure.
“Once inside the room, the suspect made sexual advances towards the victim and insisted on paying her for sexual favors. When the victim refused and rejected the suspect’s advances, he resorted to forceful sexual assault before leaving the room,” the sources said.
The victim, traumatized by the incident, immediately contacted the authorities to report the crime.
“Upon arrival, the police found the victim in tears and she recounted the details of the incident. The suspect was still present at the hotel and was subsequently arrested before further action was taken at the Kuala Lumpur Central Police Headquarters,” stated the sources.
