12-10-2023 (LOS ANGELES) Henry Golding and Liv Lo Golding joyfully announced the arrival of their second daughter, Florence, in a heartwarming joint Instagram post on Wednesday (Oct 11). The couple shared their excitement as they welcomed their new bundle of joy, revealing that Florence was born on September 9. Their first child, Lyla, was born in March 2021.
In the Instagram post, the couple accompanied their announcement with a touching video that chronicled the journey of childbirth. The caption expressed their appreciation for the highs and lows of the process, stating, “The journey of childbirth is full of its ups and downs, but glorious none the other.”
Liv Lo Golding, in particular, shared a more detailed account of her childbirth experience on her website, FitSphere. She revealed that Florence encountered some complications shortly after her birth. Florence had difficulty breathing and required immediate intubation. It was later discovered that she had swallowed meconium while in the womb, leading to pneumonia. As a result, Florence had to undergo a 10-day course of antibiotics to aid her recovery.
Liv Lo Golding herself faced medical challenges. Shortly after being discharged from the hospital, she experienced intense pain in her ribs and was readmitted. It was later determined that she had a blood infection. However, both mother and daughter have successfully overcome these hurdles and are now in good health.
Reflecting on her transformative journey, Liv Lo Golding shared, “Healing from postpartum, a blood infection, becoming a mother of two, and breastfeeding at the same time was an intense experience that rebirthed me at the same time as my daughter Florence. When a life-changing moment presents itself, we have a choice to change with it.” She expressed gratitude for the love and support she received from her family, friends, medical professionals, nurses, and holistic specialists who played a vital role in her swift recovery.
