10-6-2023 (BEIJING) On the wedding day, it is customary for the groom and his groomsmen to go through a gatecrashing ritual set up by the bridesmaids before they can meet the bride. However, in an unexpected turn of events, this particular gatecrashing episode took a violent twist. Recently, a video has been circulating online, capturing a shocking incident where one of the groomsmen kicked the door, sending one of the bridesmaids flying along with it, leaving her sprawled on the ground.
The incident took place in Shandong, China on June 6th, when three bridesmaids blocked the entrance and demanded red envelopes (a traditional gift of money) from the groom’s party before allowing them to proceed. In a split second, one of the groomsmen delivered a forceful kick, launching the bridesmaid and the door together, causing her to crash to the ground.
To make matters worse, a piece of wood from the door struck her in the face. Subsequently, another groomsman who entered the scene was startled by the sight and quickly helped her up. Some netizens expressed their sympathy for the bridesmaid, stating that she should never agree to be a bridesmaid again, as they could feel her pain even through the screen.
Others questioned the necessity of such violence on a joyous occasion. There were also netizens who believed that there should have been no need for gatecrashing at all and that the couple should have been allowed to enter the house smoothly. They highlighted the potential risks involved in such practices during a wedding celebration.
