15-1-2024 (SINGAPORE) In the early hours of Sunday (Jan 14), a GetGo car collided with an HDB block in Jurong East after skidding down a flight of stairs.
Images capturing the aftermath of the accident were shared on Sgfollowall, revealing several individuals on the ground beside the damaged vehicle.
A resident in the block recounted being awakened by the loud crash and estimated that five people sustained injuries during the incident.
In response to inquiries from AsiaOne, the police reported being alerted to the accident around 3:10 am on Sunday. The incident involved a car, which was believed to have self-skidded at Block 260 Jurong East Street 24.
The 29-year-old male driver and a 30-year-old male passenger were both conscious when conveyed to the hospital. Police investigations into the incident are currently underway.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) informed AsiaOne that two additional individuals were assessed by SCDF paramedics for minor injuries. However, they opted not to be transported to the hospital.
