19-10-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Joe, the son of Malaysian singer Gary Chaw, has transformed from an adorable child with a pout on the Chinese variety show “Where Are We Going, Dad?” to a striking young man who has been garnering his own fan base in recent years.
On Tuesday, Gary’s ex-wife, Taiwanese fashion blogger Wu Shu-ling, took to social media to share a series of photos from Joe’s latest photoshoot, along with some selfies of the two of them together.
In the shoot, the 15-year-old donned a burgundy suit and a black string necklace, showcasing his impressive physique.
In the caption, 44-year-old Shu-ling wrote, “I had a great time taking photos with Joe today. I have to admit, he’s really good at it… He doesn’t need any makeup at all. Youth is a wonderful thing.”
She also revealed that she initially wanted to help Joe apply eyeliner, but due to her lack of skills, she refrained from doing so, fearing that she might mess it up. Instead, she found him a holiday job to earn some pocket money during school breaks in the future.
Netizens flooded the post with comments about Joe’s striking appearance, with some even noting that Shu-ling and Joe “look like siblings.”
One commenter wrote, “Your son is a star, and he has clearly been well-trained.”
Another netizen expressed surprise at Joe’s rapid growth, saying, “My goodness, Joe has grown up so quickly. It makes me feel old.”
In addition to sharing the photos on Facebook, Joe himself posted a video on Douyin, striking poses for the camera during the photoshoot.
Joe’s journey from a cute child star to a handsome young man has undoubtedly captivated his growing fan base, and it seems that he is well on his way to making a name for himself in his own right.
