13-11-2024 (SINGAPORE) Chinese pop powerhouse G.E.M. will make her long-awaited return to Singapore’s music scene with a spectacular show at the National Stadium on 1 March 2025, marking an eight-year hiatus since her last performance in the city-state.
The acclaimed singer-songwriter, born Gloria Tang Sze-wing, will bring her ambitious “I Am Gloria” world tour to Singapore as part of an expanded international circuit that now includes newly announced stops in London, Paris, and Kuala Lumpur.
The 33-year-old artist, who last graced Singapore’s stage at the Indoor Stadium in 2017, has seen her star rise meteorically since her industry debut. The announcement of her Singapore performance comes amidst significant buzz surrounding her fourth concert tour, which kicked off with a commanding performance at Guangzhou’s Guangdong Olympic Stadium in December 2023.
G.E.M.’s journey to stardom began in 2008 with her self-titled EP, which earned her multiple best new female artist accolades. Her subsequent debut studio album “18…” proved to be a commercial triumph, establishing itself as one of 2009’s top-selling Cantonese albums and cementing her position in the Asian music landscape.
The forthcoming Singapore concert, organised by One Production, represents a significant milestone in G.E.M.’s touring calendar. Whilst ticket pricing details remain under wraps, anticipation is building among her loyal fanbase, who have followed her evolution from a promising newcomer to a Golden Melody Jury Award recipient in 2020.
