30-6-2023 (HANOI) A unit of Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics maker and assembler, has been granted a license by Vietnam to invest $246 million in two projects in the northern province of Quang Ninh, according to the provincial authority on Friday.
The projects will focus on the manufacturing and assembly of telecom and electric vehicle-related parts, the authority stated.
This development marks another significant investment in Vietnam’s growing manufacturing sector, as the country continues to attract foreign investors looking to capitalize on its favorable business environment and skilled labor force. Foxconn’s decision to expand its operations in Quang Ninh demonstrates the province’s appeal as an investment destination.
