21-11-2023 (SINGAPORE) In a shocking incident at a chalet in Changi, Singapore, four teenage girls unleashed a brutal attack on a 15-year-old girl while a crowd of onlookers not only witnessed the assault but also goaded the perpetrators. The altercation took place at a Civil Service Club (CSC) chalet along Leuchars Road in Changi last Friday at approximately 10:15 pm.
Videos captured the disturbing event, with the victim being surrounded, verbally abused, and physically assaulted by the group of four assailants. Onlookers, instead of intervening, were heard encouraging the violence and filming the ordeal from multiple angles.
The victim, wearing a black sleeveless top, attempted to escape with another girl but was chased down by her attackers. The crowd, comprising fellow teenagers, created a ring around them, intensifying the hostile atmosphere.
The onlookers, some climbing onto a fence for a better view, cheered and shouted for the violence to escalate. The videos depict the victim being yanked by her hair, slapped, and kicked, leaving her visibly distressed and unable to retaliate.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, with the four teenage girls involved, aged between 14 and 15, cooperating with law enforcement. The victim, although suffering minor injuries, reportedly refused hospital conveyance.
The troubling episode underscores concerns about the role of bystanders in such incidents and the need for prompt intervention to prevent further harm. Investigations are ongoing as authorities seek to establish the circumstances surrounding the altercation and determine appropriate legal actions.
