24-6-2024 (JAKARTA) Authorities in Semarang are conducting a thorough investigation into a tragic toll road accident involving a Pajero SUV and a truck, which claimed the lives of four individuals. Initial forensic analysis at the crash site revealed no evidence of brake marks from the Pajero vehicle.
According to AKP Agus Pardiyono Marinus, Head of Kendal Traffic Police, the joint investigation by the Kendal Traffic Police and the Central Java Police Traffic Accident Analysis (TAA) team found no signs of braking from the Pajero at the location of the deadly collision.
Agus further disclosed that traffic conditions on the toll road were relatively light at the time of the incident, with no other vehicles in the immediate vicinity when the crash occurred.
Corroborating this account, Fauzy Sulaiman, the driver of the Pajero, admitted that he did not have an opportunity to brake before the collision transpired.
“Before the accident, I attempted to overtake by moving to the right lane, but it was too late. I didn’t notice the parked truck, and by the time I saw it, I could no longer brake the vehicle, leading to the devastating impact,” Fauzy recounted.
