The incident unfolded on Sunday night when witnesses spotted a paddle boarder struggling in the water near a property owned by the Obamas. A frantic search operation was launched for Campbell, who had gone under the water and did not resurface.
Tafari Campbell had previously worked as a sous chef at the White House during Obama’s presidency and joined the Obama family as their personal chef after the former President completed his second term in 2016.
