10-7-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Travelling through Western Australia has become more accessible for Malaysians thanks to a new travel guidebook. Titled “Panduan Kembara Muslim Western Australia: Walking On A Dream,” the guidebook is specifically designed to cater to Muslim travellers exploring Western Australia. It offers a wealth of information tailored to the needs of Muslim travellers, including travel itineraries, guidelines, halal eateries, mosque and prayer room locations, as well as information on driving and public transportation.
While the guidebook focuses on providing halal experiences for Muslim travellers, it is also a valuable resource for non-Muslim travellers planning a trip to Australia’s largest state.
The guidebook begins with a brief introduction to each of Western Australia’s five tourism regions: Perth, South West, Coral Coast, Golden Outback, and the North West. It also provides domestic flight information from Perth to other tourism regions within the state, as well as flight information from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to Perth.
Western Australia boasts several UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites, including the stunning Purnululu National Park, home to the mesmerizing Bungle Bungle Range. This unique landscape features sculptured rocks with beehive-shaped karst sandstone formations rising 250 meters above the grasslands.
The state is also home to other notable national parks such as Lake Ballard, Karijini National Park, and Nambung National Park, famous for its captivating Pinnacles.
In addition to its natural wonders, Western Australia is renowned for its beautiful beaches and islands. One such island is Rottnest Island, where visitors can encounter the adorable quokkas, famously known as the happiest creatures on Earth. The guidebook provides information on how to reach the island and suggests other activities in the surrounding area.
Ava Ang, the Country Manager for Singapore and Malaysia at Tourism Western Australia, expressed her hopes that the relaunch of the Muslim travel guide will facilitate travel planning for Malaysian Muslim travellers, enabling them to witness the state’s natural wonders and experience its rich cultural heritage.
For Malaysians planning to visit Australia, it is worth noting that the Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) application can be processed within a week. However, it is advisable to submit applications at least four weeks before departure to avoid any unforeseen circumstances.
The Muslim travel guide, along with other helpful guides and itinerary suggestions, can be downloaded from the Western Australia website (westernaustralia.com), providing travellers with valuable resources to plan their unforgettable journey through Western Australia.
