5-4-2024 (SINGAPORE) Following the frenzy over the all-white Snoopy MoonSwatch, watch enthusiasts are in for another treat as Omega and Swatch join forces once again, this time introducing a sleek black version inspired by the enigmatic new moon.
A tantalizing teaser surfaced on Swatch’s Instagram a few days ago, hinting at the official launch date set for April 8. Subsequent details have emerged, unveiling the watch’s official name as “Mission to the Moonphase – New Moon.”
True to its namesake, the all-black aesthetic pays homage to the obscurity of the new moon’s night sky. Complemented by striking white markers and hands adorned with Grade A Super-LumiNova, which emits a captivating green and blue glow, the model bears a striking resemblance to its white counterpart, now dubbed “Mission to the Moonphase – Full Moon.” Notably, Snoopy and his loyal companion Woodstock are depicted snoozing atop the moon phase complication at the 2 o’clock mark.
Under UV light, an intriguing hidden message is revealed on the watch: “I can’t sleep without a night light!”
Distinguished as the first Swatch watch to feature a moon phase complication, the Snoopy MoonSwatch continues to captivate collectors’ hearts.
Similar to its predecessor, the black edition is not a limited release. Priced at S$430 in Singapore, the watch will hit the shelves at Swatch’s ION Orchard and Marina Bay Sands stores starting April 8.
The white Snoopy MoonSwatch caused a sensation upon its Singapore debut on March 26, with snaking queues forming outside stores.
