8-2-2024 (LONDON) Emma Watson, the renowned actress famous for her role as Hermione in the Harry Potter film series, had her £30,000 Audi towed away during a night out at a pub in Stratford upon Avon, West Midlands. The incident occurred on Tuesday night (Feb 6) when two truck drivers were seen hauling away her blue car on a flatbed truck. Witnesses reported that Watson had parked her vehicle in a way that blocked the entrance to a car park, causing inconvenience to the owner of a nearby pizza restaurant.
The manager of Red Hot Mamma pizzeria expressed frustration, stating that he had to search for the driver for three-and-a-half hours after working a 12-hour shift. He explained that Watson’s car had blocked the restaurant’s gate, violating a no-parking zone. According to reports, the actress had parked her car illegally on a quiet street before entering a nearby pub, the Rose and Crown, accompanied by her mother, Jacqueline.
When the manager of the pizza restaurant called the police, they arrived and commenced the towing process. At that moment, Watson allegedly emerged from the pub, shouting, “That’s my car, that’s my car!” She was photographed wearing a long black trench coat while pleading with the police and the tow truck employee to leave her car alone. Despite her efforts, the car was impounded, leaving Watson with a £192 charge to retrieve her Audi S3 from the pound.
Additionally, she will incur a £26 charge for each day the vehicle remains in the pound. A witness recounted the scene, stating that Watson was visibly upset about her car being towed away. She approached the truck driver, arguing and insisting that the car belonged to her. However, the driver remained firm, signed necessary paperwork, and proceeded to haul the car away. Throughout the incident, Watson’s mother watched the events unfold from the street.
Warwickshire Police issued a statement regarding the incident, explaining that they received a report of a blue Audi S3 parked in a manner that blocked two cars on High Street near the junction with Sheep Street in Stratford. The report was made at 9:42 pm, and the car was impounded and taken away at 10:21 pm.
