22-11-2023 (JAKARTA) In a seismic event that rattled Halmahera, Indonesia, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck on Wednesday, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ). The earthquake’s epicenter reached a depth of 120 kilometres (74.56 miles), as reported by GFZ.
The quake’s impact on the region and potential damage remains uncertain as Indonesia’s disaster mitigation agency has yet to respond to inquiries regarding the aftermath.
