28-6-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) A disturbing incident unfolded in Tuaran district as a 29-year-old man, reportedly under the influence of drugs, allegedly molested three women within a span of just three hours on Saturday. The victims, aged between 15 and 31, endured traumatic encounters in separate incidents.
Tuaran District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Noraidin Awang Maidin, shed light on the distressing details, stating, “According to one of the reports, one of the victims was approached by a stranger who suddenly embraced her from behind, subjecting her to molestation.” DSP Noraidin expressed concern about the perpetrator’s aggressive behavior, revealing that some of the victims also claimed to have had their cash and personal belongings stolen during the distressing encounters that occurred between 1pm and 4pm on that fateful day.
Taking swift action, the authorities managed to apprehend the suspect at approximately 3am the following day. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the man had been a patient at Hospital Mesra Bukit Padang, which specializes in the treatment of mentally challenged individuals. Furthermore, DSP Noraidin disclosed that the suspect tested positive for drugs and possessed an OKU card, denoting his mental condition. It was discovered that he had been discharged from the hospital three days prior and was expected to attend weekly reviews.
