The incident prompted the flight crew, responsible for 183 passengers onboard, to declare an emergency and swiftly return to John F. Kennedy International Airport. Delta assured that it is actively assisting in the retrieval efforts.
Emphasizing the airline’s unwavering commitment to customer and personnel safety, Delta stated that its flight crews promptly implemented their comprehensive training protocols and followed established procedures to safely return to JFK.
