18-12-2023 (BANGKOK) In the aftermath of a fierce firefight with soldiers on Saturday night, thirteen bodies and approximately 1.7 million methamphetamine pills were discovered near the border in the Mae Fa Luang district of the northernmost province, as reported by sources.
Soldiers and supervisors from the Pha Muang Task Force meticulously examined the battleground in Tambon Therd Thai on Sunday morning. The grim findings included the bodies of thirteen individuals and 17 sacks containing a total of about 1.7 million speed pills.
The intense gun battle unfolded over a brief five-minute period, commencing at 7 pm on Saturday. According to sources, soldiers patrolling the area had requested a group of men spotted walking through a forest to halt for a search. In response, the men opened fire, sparking the confrontation.
After the exchange of gunfire, soldiers exercised caution and waited until the morning to survey the scene. Remarkably, no soldiers sustained injuries during the incident.
