2-12-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) In a tragic incident at the Dato Keramat LRT station this evening, a 27-year-old man jumped from the rails, resulting in severe injuries. His legs were crushed by the train, and despite the immediate response from the medical rescue team, it was confirmed that he had tragically passed away.
Upon receiving the report at 9:05 pm, the Municipal Fire and Rescue Bureau swiftly mobilized a fire truck, emergency ambulance, and eight firefighters from the Keramat Branch to the scene for rescue efforts, according to a statement issued by the bureau. Collaborating with LRT station mechanics, the fire and rescue team successfully reversed the train to facilitate the safe removal of the body.
Following the rescue operation, the case was handed over to the police for further investigation and handling.
While official details are still emerging, information circulating on social media suggests that the deceased intentionally jumped from the LRT platform, leading to his feet becoming trapped under the train. Promptly upon the incident, fire and rescue teams, along with ambulances, were summoned to the scene to provide immediate assistance.
