25-7-2023 (BEIJING) A recent video uploaded by a netizen has sparked controversy, showing a man defecating in a swimming pool while another man follows closely behind.
The video shows a man swimming in the pool, and while floating on the water, he uses both hands to take off his swimming trunks. While continuing to swim, he defecates in the pool before putting his trunks back on and swimming away. After gym staff discovered feces in the pool, they cleared it and reviewed the surveillance footage. They found that the man responsible was an elderly man and reported him to the police.
On 24 July, a gym employee stated that only members are allowed to swim in the pool, and the man’s membership had been revoked. The pool has also been drained and cleaned.
Following discussions, the man responsible agreed to pay the gym 8,000 yuan (approximately S$ 1,486) in compensation, according to a report by Litchi News.
