27-9-2023 (TOKYO) Mitsubishi Estate, the property developer, announced that the construction of the Torch Tower, Japan’s future tallest skyscraper in central Tokyo, has commenced. The tower, situated opposite Tokyo Station, is expected to reach a height of approximately 390 meters upon its completion in the fiscal year 2027, surpassing its urban counterpart, the 330-meter Azabudai Hills Mori JP Tower.

It will house commercial facilities, offices, rental residences, and a luxurious hotel. To mark the beginning of this ambitious project, Mitsubishi Estate held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, signifying the start of a new era in Tokyo’s skyline.
