30-5-2023 (BANGKOK) A red MG sedan owner in Bangkok had an unexpected encounter with a chonky cat that fell from the sixth floor of a condominium, shattering the car’s window. Remarkably, the feline, named Shifu, miraculously escaped severe injuries despite the dramatic fall.
According to the car’s owner, Shifu only suffered two broken nails after plummeting from the sixth floor and landing on the sedan. In a Facebook post, Apiwat, the owner, provided an update on Shifu’s condition, likening the cat to Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda. Apiwat mentioned that Shifu could eat and excrete normally and had no signs of swelling or bruising, apart from two broken nails and minor wounds.
Weighing in at approximately 8.5 kilograms, Shifu was discovered relatively unscathed on Saturday morning following the fall. The condominium manager confirmed that CCTV footage captured the moment when the hefty cat descended from the sixth floor, landing on the third floor before tumbling once again onto the vehicle below. Shards of glass scattered everywhere, while Shifu was found beneath the car, appearing both clueless and innocent after the accident.
Despite the damage caused to his car, Apiwat expressed forgiveness towards the adorable cat and its owner for the unforeseen incident.
The condominium manager, identified as Orrasa by the media, revealed that the condo strictly enforces a no-pets policy. Consequently, the owner of Shifu was charged THB1,000 for violating the policy.
