21-2-2025 (MANILA) Former Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray has embarked on a winter holiday in Turkey’s historic Cappadocia region, marking her first public venture following the recent confirmation of her separation from actor Sam Milby.
The beauty queen has been documenting her Turkish sojourn through social media, sharing glimpses of her exploration of the region’s renowned cave systems and ancient underground cities. Despite adverse weather conditions preventing the region’s famous hot air balloon experiences, Gray appears to be making the most of her cultural expedition.

“The cave systems are absolutely fascinating, and we’ve even chosen accommodation in a cave hotel,” Gray shared with her followers, highlighting the unique architectural heritage of the region, known for its Bronze Age dwellings and distinctive “fairy chimney” rock formations.
Prior to her Turkish adventure, Gray attended the reopening of Spanish fashion label Mango in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City, where she revealed her practical approach to winter fashion. “I’ve invested in several sweaters and coats specifically for Turkey’s climate,” she explained, emphasising her preference for versatile wardrobe pieces that offer substantial return on investment.
The former Miss Universe, known for her fashion-forward choices, discussed her current style preferences at the event. “I’m gravitating towards blues lately, though I’ve always been drawn to vibrant colours,” she noted, sporting a relaxed ensemble that included oversized trousers and a locally crafted Aranaz bag, demonstrating her support for Filipino designers.
The timing of Gray’s Turkish getaway coincides with recent developments in her personal life, as former partner Sam Milby publicly addressed speculation surrounding their separation earlier this week. Milby emphasised that no third party was involved in their decision to part ways, putting to rest circulating rumours about their relationship’s end.
