At just 19 years old, Jasmine made her dazzling debut at the Singapore Majulah Music Night on July 30, captivating the audience with her single “idk” among other enthralling songs.

A Harmonious Childhood Dream From the tender age of two, Jasmine Yen’s heart resonated with the enchanting rhythms of music. She fondly recalls knowing all the lyrics to her cherished Disney tunes, an early manifestation of her passion. This ardent love for music gradually bloomed into songwriting prowess when she was just seven years old.
“While every child loves to sing and dance, I believed I would outgrow this fascination. Yet, as time flowed, the melodies remained etched in my soul,” Jasmine reminisced.
The Entrancing Debut Her first encounter with the spotlight occurred at nine years old when she serenaded an audience of 2,000 at her aunt’s wedding. However, it wasn’t until her 14th year that Jasmine resolved to dedicate herself wholeheartedly to her musical aspirations. This determination led her to the revered halls of the Berklee College of Music in 2022.
Crafting Her Debut Sonata In the midst of July 2023, Jasmine Yen penned her signature onto a record contract with RCA Records China, a division of the prestigious Sony Music Entertainment. Amidst the jetlag haze of Los Angeles, she found herself writing her debut opus, “idk”.

The 19-year-old artist recalled, “Nervousness enveloped me; my emotions were overwhelming, given that this had been my aspiration since I was 14.” With a triumphant resolution, she quelled her tears and graced the stage with a performance that mirrored the confidence of her nine-year-old self.
