30-3-2024 (SINGAPORE) The lifeless body of a woman was discovered in the waters off Kallang Riverside Park. The police were alerted to the incident around 7:15 am on Saturday, according to The Straits Times.
With the assistance of the Public Utilities Board (PUB), rescuers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) retrieved the body from the water. The deceased has been identified as a 58-year-old woman and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Eyewitnesses reported that the authorities came across the corpse while clearing litter in the river. The woman was found dressed in a blue top and trousers, as stated by Shin Min Daily News.
Preliminary investigations conducted by the police indicate no signs of foul play. However, investigations are still ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
