25-7-2024 (MANILA) Renowned event host Bianca Valerio has announced a substantial reward for information leading to the arrest of her alleged sexual assailant. Valerio, who claims she was sexually assaulted in June 2021, is offering a hefty sum of 500,000 Philippine pesos (approximately $8,519) to anyone who can guarantee the apprehension of Gibson Arca, the man accused of the assault.
The shocking announcement came via Valerio’s social media platforms, where she shared details of the incident and the subsequent warrant for Arca’s arrest. “When I hosted that event in June 2021, not a single person—client, organiser, or guest—cared to warn me about Gibson’s predatory behaviour,” Valerio wrote, her words tinged with frustration and determination.
Valerio’s public appeal marks a significant escalation in her three-year quest for justice. “In three years since the incident, no one has ever helped me put him in jail. This is where I ask for your help to warn the world who Gibby Arca is,” she stated, urging her followers to spread awareness about the warrant for Arca’s arrest.
The accused, Gibson Arca, also known by aliases such as Gibby Arca, Gibby Ang, and Jason Black, has a history of run-ins with the law. According to information shared by Valerio, Arca was previously arrested on drug-related charges.
In a heart-wrenching video posted on Instagram in March 2022, Valerio detailed her harrowing experience. She recounted how Arca, an uninvited guest at a private party she was hosting, allegedly offered her illegal drugs throughout the evening. “I never asked you for anything that night,” Valerio said in the video, addressing her alleged assailant directly. “No means no. And no, it does not mean ‘please convince me’.”

The TV host’s decision to go public with her ordeal and offer a reward for Arca’s arrest highlights the ongoing challenges faced by survivors of sexual assault in seeking justice. It also underscores the power of social media as a tool for advocacy and awareness-raising in such cases.
Valerio has set up a dedicated email address, [email protected], for individuals to submit information or tips that could lead to Arca’s arrest. She emphasised that terms and conditions apply to the reward offer, though specific details were not provided.
