18-1-2024 (BANGKOK) In a devastating incident that unfolded at a factory in Sala Khao, Mueang, Suphanburi, 23 individuals, including the female owner of the facility and her son, have lost their lives. The community mourns the heartbreaking loss as authorities rush to identify the victims by conducting preliminary examinations of the bodies found at the scene.
According to the Commander of Suphanburi Provincial Police, it is still unclear what caused the explosion, as initial investigations have not yet determined the exact cause. However, the overall situation at the site has been brought under control, ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.
On January 18, 67, the Thailand Disaster Response Association published images showcasing the extent of the damage inflicted by the factory explosion in Sala Khao, Mueang, Suphanburi. The photos depict the factory before and after the incident, providing a stark contrast. In the first image, the factory stands peacefully amidst the rice fields, far from residential areas. However, the second image captures the aftermath of the explosion, showing a scene of devastation and destruction. The surroundings are littered with debris, and there are no remnants of the factory structure, which has been completely obliterated. The tragic sight is further compounded by the presence of numerous casualties, with 23 lives lost in the incident.
