30-5-2024 (KUALA LUMPUR) Apple will open its first retail store in Malaysia, located at The Exchange TRX mall in Kuala Lumpur. The tech giant announced the upcoming launch on its website on Wednesday, May 29.
The announcement on Apple’s website read: “We are getting ready to open our first Apple Store in Malaysia. We can’t wait to see you. Jom!” and provided the address of the new store. Originally expected to open in February, the store faced delays before its new opening date was set.
Trevor Hill, the general manager of The Exchange TRX, shared several images of the store on LinkedIn, generating excitement among tech enthusiasts. While Apple has not disclosed the interior design of the store, Malaysian tech website SoyaCincau.com described the exterior as featuring a roof resembling a tudung saji, a traditional Malaysian food cover.
The opening of this store marks a significant expansion of Apple’s presence in Southeast Asia, adding to its existing retail locations in Singapore and Thailand.
