21-6-2023 (BEIJING) Ant Group, a technology company based in China, has confirmed that its technology research and development team is currently working on the development of its own large-language model (LLM), internally referred to as Zhenyi, according to a spokesperson on Wednesday. The confirmation came in response to reports circulating in Chinese media.
While no specific details regarding the public release of the model were provided, it highlights Ant Group’s commitment to advancing artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms through the development of large-language models. This initiative aligns with the broader trend in China, where organizations have introduced 79 LLMs domestically over the past three years, as indicated in a recent report by state-run research institutes.
