2-3-2024 (PARIS) Animal rights activists made a bold statement at Victoria Beckham’s fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. The activists, representing the animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), disrupted the runway by entering while models were showcasing Beckham’s Fall-Winter 2024/2025 women’s ready-to-wear collection.
Carrying placards with messages such as “Viva Vegan Leather” and wearing T-shirts that read “Turn your back on animal skins” and “Animals aren’t fabric,” the activists intended to raise awareness about the use of animal products in the fashion industry. Despite being swiftly escorted away by security, one activist managed to briefly appear on the runway with the same placard as Beckham greeted the audience at the end of the show.
The renowned British designer, Victoria Beckham, known for her sleek and sophisticated aesthetic, presented a collection featuring sheer dresses and boxy coats for the Fall/Winter season. Beckham, who walked the runway with crutches due to a reported gym injury, showcased edgy looks, including a backless blazer and a mini dress with an exaggerated sweetheart neckline. The collection also featured chiffon and silk dresses with soft draping and tassels flowing from a black bustier pantsuit.
We joined the @victoriabeckham show at #ParisFashionWeek to remind everyone that sensitive cows and other animals are barbarically killed for their skin. With so many animal-free leather alternatives, why are designers like @victoriabeckham continuing to include animal skin in… pic.twitter.com/367y1Ju98H

The fashion event took place at the elegant Salomon de Rothschild Hotel, a 19th-century venue located near the renowned Champs Elysees in Paris. Among the prominent attendees in the front row were Beckham’s husband, David Beckham, and their children Romeo, Brooklyn, and Harper.
Paris Fashion Week, a highly anticipated event in the fashion industry, will continue until March 5, featuring renowned luxury brands such as Chanel, Dior, Hermes, and Louis Vuitton. The disruption caused by the animal rights activists at Victoria Beckham’s show has sparked discussions about ethical fashion and the use of animal products in the industry.
