24-8-2023 (KUALA LUMPUR) Chaos unfolded both on and off the football pitch following an amateur friendly match that recently took place in Penang. A viral video shared on TikTok by user Syahminsam captured the shocking scenes as tempers flared among the players.
The video depicts a shouting match escalating into physical altercations, with players pushing, shoving, and throwing punches and kicks at each other. Amidst the commotion, other players and spectators attempted to intervene and restore order.
The viral video, which garnered over 350,000 views, also captured the profanities exchanged during the brawl. The intense screaming and shouting heard in the footage made it difficult to ascertain the exact cause of the fight.
Netizens reacted with a mix of amusement and bewilderment in response to the spectacle. One user, _pidottt, sarcastically commented, “They’re fighting as if they’re playing in the EPL (English Premier League), but it is just a friendly match.” Another user, Bad@Aziz, quipped, “How many millions is the prize money? That they have to fight like in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).”
TikTok user Untak Kerengit expressed disappointment, highlighting the contrary outcome of the incident. “I thought sports unites us and it is a fun game, but here the opposite happens,” he lamented.
