24-4-2024 (BANGKOK) In a chilling case that has gripped the nation, details have emerged about a ruthless murder carried out by alleged members of the Japanese yakuza crime syndicate in the Bangbuathong district of Nonthaburi province. The victim, an unidentified Japanese man, was found brutally dismembered, with his remains stuffed into black bags and discarded in an isolated alley on April 19.
Initially, the gruesome discovery baffled investigators, but a breakthrough came when they apprehended “Bom,” a 34-year-old Thai man who had been acting as a driver for the three Japanese suspects involved in the murder. His arrest led authorities to a warehouse located on the outskirts of Bangkok., where the victim was believed to have been shot dead inside a car.
On April 24, investigators from Bangbuathong Police Station gathered evidence and obtained arrest warrants for Takuya Kato, aged 49, and Hiroto Suzuki, aged 27, both Japanese nationals suspected of being members of the infamous yakuza crime syndicate and involved in call center scams.
According to the confession of Bom, the two Japanese suspects, known as “Boss” and his close associate, hired him to pick up the three men, including the victim, from a restaurant in the Thonburi area. He was then instructed to drive them to the warehouse in Bangbuathong district.
During the journey, an argument erupted between the “Boss” and the victim, with the two exchanging heated words in Japanese, which Bom could not comprehend. Upon arriving at the warehouse, the “Boss” ordered Bom out of the car, and shortly after, a single gunshot rang out. It was later revealed that the “Boss” had fatally shot the Japanese man sitting in the front seat.
The media has obtained CCTV footage capturing the moments leading up to the victim’s murder and dismemberment. The footage shows the victim exiting a condominium elevator in the Sathon area, likely to meet with the group of perpetrators waiting below. They then proceeded to a restaurant in the Bangkhae area for a meal before the tragic events unfolded.
