25-2-2024 (MOSCOW) The remains of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who tragically passed away in prison last week under unforeseen circumstances, have been transferred to his mother, as revealed by his spokesperson, Kira Yarmysh, in a statement on the social media platform X on Saturday.
Yarmysh expressed uncertainty about whether the authorities would permit a funeral to be conducted in the manner desired by the family and befitting Navalny’s legacy.
“I don’t know if the authorities will allow a funeral to be held the way the family wants and the way Alexei deserves,” remarked Yarmysh.
