21-8-2023 (SAN JOSE) John Warnock, co-founder of Photoshop creator Adobe, has passed away at the age of 82, as announced by the company in an early Sunday statement.
The exact cause of Warnock’s death has not been disclosed.
“It is a somber day for the Adobe community and the wider industry, as he has been an inspiration for decades,” stated Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen in an email sent to employees.
Warnock, alongside Charles Geschke, established Adobe in 1982. After serving as CEO until 2000, he continued to contribute as the chairman of the board, a role he shared with Geschke, until 2017.
