13-6-2023 (VERMONT) Treat Williams, the acclaimed actor known for his roles in Hair and Everwood, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Monday, as confirmed by his longtime agent, Barry McPherson.
Williams, who was 71 years old, was riding his motorcycle when it collided with a car in Dorset, Vermont.
According to reports from People magazine, Jacob Gribble, the fire chief in Dorset, stated that the accident occurred when a car turned into Williams on Route 30. Sadly, Williams was the only person injured in the incident. He was immediately airlifted to a hospital in Ticonderoga, New York, for medical attention.
Treat Williams rose to prominence with his breakout role in the 1979 film adaptation of Hair, which was based on the Broadway musical of the same name. He further showcased his talent in the television series Everwood, portraying a neurosurgeon who relocates his family from New York City to Colorado.
