20-6-2023 (SINGAPORE) A video clip, which was shared on Reddit on June 19, captures a disturbing incident where a man verbally abuses a staff member at a restaurant in Singapore.
The video shows a foreigner directing vulgarities and displaying aggressive behavior towards a male staff member at Shashlik Restaurant, located at Far East Shopping Centre.
In the video, the foreigner can be heard hurling insults and threats, saying, “I will drop every last one of you. Back the f**k up.” He further threatens to shut down the establishment and physically harm the staff member, proclaiming, “I will f**k every one family of your member you got from here to China. You little b***h, cause I own China too.”
Towards the end of the video, a female staff member steps in to de-escalate the situation and prevent further conflict.
Upon requesting the foreigner to take a seat, he retorts, “Then ask him to back off.”
According to the person who recorded the video and shared it with Mothership, the incident occurred at Shashlik Restaurant around 9:15 PM when the customer in question arrived. However, the restaurant’s last order for dinner is at 9 PM.

When the customer was denied entry due to the timing, he became incensed. The witness stated, “They politely requested for him to leave the restaurant but he refused to do so and he started to raise his voice.”
The witness also mentioned that the restaurant staff threatened to call the police, but the customer remained unfazed, asserting, “I own the Singapore Police Force too.”
Expressing their perspective as dine-in customers, the witness found the customer’s profanity-laden outburst and racist remarks uncalled for. They also noted that other diners attempted to calm the enraged man down.
“After this video was recorded, the man continued shouting, and throughout the time when he was seated, another restaurant customer was seen talking to him and trying to calm him down,”
Despite the customer’s offensive behavior, the witness commended the restaurant staff for their handling of the situation, mentioning, “The restaurant staff even went to every table to apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
